During your residency you will complete many hands-on clinical experiences at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles opio. You will participate in a number of programs that are designed to maximize your knowledge and skills as a pediatrician.
During the first year of your residency, you will participate in hands-on training in the emergency department and pediatric departments. You will learn how to perform common pediatric procedures, such as procedures that include chest x-rays, blood draws, and laboratory examinations. You will also learn to identify signs and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as asthma and pneumonia.
Throughout your residency you will take an intensive course that will cover the fundamentals of pediatrics and become familiar with new developments in the field of pediatric medicine.
